For the Win

2020 was a weird year in so many major ways so much so that we barely even noticed the fact that Tom Brady left the Patriots, that games were played in front of no crowds and many games were canceled due to covid.  It just wasn't a year for football.  Don't get me wrong we love the game, in fact, we LOVE LOVE the game but it just seemed like noise in the background, not something we paid close attention to.  We must have unconsciously decided that the 2020 season didn't count and we would just check back into football in 2021.  It is a good thing too because our Patriots didn't look their best.  It was a pretty embarrassing season for our team.  All that being said we did want to keep with our Superbowl traditions and let each person pick one yummy food for the day.  Dylan chose donuts, Aliya chose football fries (which was our lunch), Trent chose skillet cookies, Nate chose wings and I chose corn and bean dip.  We had quite the assortment and we were able to spread it across the whole day to enjoy.  We did tune in and watched the Superbowl and puppy bowl which were both tons of fun and we spent time playing some games of our own together.  It may have been an off-year but when it comes to traditions we have tried to keep as many of them intact as possible, and I am thrilled we kept with our Superbowl fun.  Family time and good food always add up to a win in my book.
