Our days are pretty typical and our schedules don't change too much but when the new Christmas ornaments come home from Nana's house... and the Christmas tree goes up, everything changes. A new season has begun.  It is Christmas time and the excitement and magic are in the air.

Thanksgiving was filled with its usual mix of food, family, and fun.   We had a wonderful time together being thankful for all that we have and those we have to share it with.  We also celebrated Aliya's 12th birthday as a family!

Trent stepped up to help out with the little kid's robotics tournament.  It was fun watching him lead when I know it was just a few years ago that he was one of the kids with his Lego League robot.  He did a great job and was a great encouragement to the kids to have fun and not to take things too seriously.

I wish all little girls could be loved as much as mine is loved by her brothers. Time at home is such a wonderful treasure.  We may not get too much of it this time of year but we really do try to make the most of it when we do.  Right now we are balancing wrestling, robotics, dance, and band. Trent just needs to do some more driving hours with us and then he will be off to get his license. We are very proud of him, as taking Driver's Ed and doing school at the same time was tough, but he made it through smiling the whole time and just sleeping on the ride home occasionally.
