The kids and I have a tradition on days where there is "absolutely nothing to do" to go out and go on treasure hunt. Often we have taken a drive or gone on a walk to see what exciting things we could find. You click here and here to see a treasure hunt from a few years ago. The rules of our treasure hunts are simple if the children see something beautiful, amazing, wonderful etc. then we stop and take a picture of it and show them all to Dad when he gets home from work. It is a silly game that the children and I have loved for years. The other day Aliya wanted to go on a treasure hunt so we simply went out into our backyard. Here are some of the treasures that she found.
I love seeing beauty in the eyes of my kiddos. They help me to slow down and see how exquisite life is, even if we are just in our backyard.

So what treasures do you have in your yard today?
We have walnuts lined up that the squirrel worked really hard at to hide for winter. We also had the treasure of 15 minutes of RAIN DROPS about an hour ago !!!!
