Pride in Writing

I love the end of the school year because all the sudden there are tons of papers in my house.  Things the children have done throughout the year that get to go home for us to enjoy.  There always is a bunch of math worksheets, science journals, and history papers, but my very favorite are their stories.  Some are half written ideas that they forgot they had and they hurry to find a pencil to complete, some are completed books that they are anxious to read to one another and some are journal entries telling about their perspective of their day.  These pages are wonderful and we love leaving them out to go through with the kiddos so they know just how proud we are of them and their work.  After a few weeks, I will file them away for safe keeping in hopes that one day they will get pulled back out and we will see just how far they have come in their schooling and laugh over the sweet stories they told.
