A day of coffee and small store browsing with my mom is a perfect day for me. We didn't exactly need to buy anything, although we did both find Sheryl's birthday gifts, but what we really needed was just time to connect. As I grow I have only needed my mom more and more, in different ways than when I was young, but as a friend and as a confidant always.
