Christmas Preparation and Traditions

What I love most about Christmas is that it is not just one day.  It is long and takes preparation and all that preparation adds to wonderful memories that are full of fun.  From the setting up the Christmas tree, to the writing of Christmas letters, and decorating the house, it is all these activities that get us even more excited about Christmas Day.

Christmas starts on December 1st in our house. With smiles laughter and everyone what will be first for our Christmas countdown.

We are always extra goofy and playful during December and try to really focus on family time.

Christmas music is listened to over and over again.

The tree is decorated with ornaments we love to reminisce about as they are hung.

Family photos are taken for the Christmas letter and then retaken again. :)

Delicious treats, like fudge and cookies, are made.

The decorations are hung inside and out.

The gifts are all wrapped.

Gingerbread houses are made.

Our favorite stories are read.

Cinnamon rolls are made and will be rising all night so that they are ready for our breakfast.

And by the time the kids put on their Christmas pajamas on the evening of the 24th, we are ready to burst with excitement for Christmas morning!
