We are Ready

Memorial Day weekend was cold and rainy.  It was not exactly what you expect to ring in the start of summer.  We had wanted to spend the weekend outdoors but unfortunately, those plans got rained out.  However, at the very end of our long weekend we fired up the grill and the rain clouds started to move out and we were even able to go to our lake for a few minutes as a family.  We are so ready for summer. We are ready for freedom. The warmth. The days and days of friends, sunshine, laughter, and little to no responsibility.  WE ARE READY.  So please summer come quickly.  Life has been hard and we need a vacation. We need an excuse to smile and stay up too late and eat ice cream for dinner.  We need an excuse to worry less and embrace adventure more. Summer, it is time and we are ready.

Monday night we finally were able to see the blue sky, as the clouds rolled away.
