The Final Night of Summer

School begins this week and the weather has already started to cool down.  It is a fact that summer is coming to an end even if we are not ready to let it go.  I am always amazed at how fast this season goes.  Nate and I decided that we wanted to do something to celebrate the last night of summer for our family and many ideas popped into our head...slip and slide night, ice cream at the local ice cream shop, but one idea won by a landslide.  Our town celebrated Old Homes Day this weekend and we knew we just had to take the kids.

I wish you could hear the uncontrollable laughter from these two boys.  They had so much fun!!

It was a perfect night.  The kids rode every ride several times and loved all of them! The second they would get off one ride they would be running to the next. We ate the world's best food (fried dough), laughed, talked, and spun in circles for hours and hours.  It was a great way to end our summer with a bang.   Goodbye summer, we loved you so, but now we are getting excited about school, apple picking, crisp air, and beautiful leaves.
