On a rainy day my children always remind me of the sad kids in the story of The Cat in the Hat. They look out the window to the miserable outside and see the rain. With sad looks in their eyes they act as if the day is going to be a lost cause for them. I do my best to find something for them to do. We play board games, bake, read books and sometimes... when there is just "nothing left to do"...we go outside and splash in the puddles.
Because being a kid should be awesome, even on the rainiest of days.
