I remember when Aliya was first born she was handed to me and I asked groggily after anesthesia if she was a boy or girl. The nurse said a girl. I then asked Nate over and over again and for a few minutes and did not believe his response that she was indeed a girl. I then cried as I believed and held my sweet girl. Yes, I knew from an ultrasound that she was supposed to be a girl but the anesthesia showed off the fact that I just didn't think it was possible to have a girl of my own. Having a little girl means hair, dresses, nails, and flowers. They are small things but things her and I feel connected on and I can't help but love all the girly stuff.
