Our Birthday Boy

Dylan's 11th Birthday was filled with everything he could ask for.  Literally, he asked us for a weekend where he could call all the shots.  He told us what time we were getting up (7:00) and what time to go to bed (it was going to be midnight but he got tired so he put us all to bed at 11:15). He chose all of our meals from making deep dish pizza with dad, donuts, tacos, and yummy food to last us a full week, not just two days.  Dylan, being our home body wanted to stay at home the majority of the time and play games together and just relax.  We did venture out one night for dinner and the emoji movie at Chunky's where Dylan ordered the spiciest burger on the menu and said it wasn't spicy enough.  It was the type of two days I would love to relive again and again and I would be happy to let our sweet boy control more of our weekends!

Ready to start a weekend of birthday fun!

Donuts (jelly, chocolate covered french curlers, and Boston cream) piled high with candles was our first breakfast picked by Dylan.

A weekend at home playing games and eating special treats is all this boy wanted. :)

Chunky's for the Emoji movie made for an extra special night out.

Coke floats with whip cream, cherries and sprinkles were birthday dessert #1.

Cherry vanilla ice cream at Hayward's was a delicious dessert #2!

Birthday sprinkle pancakes made his actual birthday extra special!

Skillet cookie fresh from the oven made the perfect birthday cake for the boy who does not love cake. :)
