Nate and I have been working with Trent over the last few months to help him better understand that people can love many things. As all of you know he was very passionate about trains, which is great, but at the same time, we wanted him to realize that he could enjoy many things. Well, we are through the train-only obsession phase. Mostly at least. He still pretends to be a train engineer and likes trains, but he has broadened his horizons into loving many different things. Trents' favorite thing is to be creative any way he can. Either he is drawing a picture or playing pretending. We have many different hats in our house and they have become the children's favorites. Simply by adding a hat a whole new world opens up for our children. They become a new person, a construction worker, a doctor, a chef, an engineer, a pilot, or even Santa. It is so wonderful to watch them imagine and see all of their ideas in their mind pour out. 
This picture says so much to me about how Trent has changed in the last year. He is pretending to be a rock star (notice the microphone), a baker, a doctor, and an engineer. So many different things and he enjoys all of them.
