2020 was all about being at home together, so there was no more fitting way to spend New Year's Eve than doing exactly that.
We planned out some family games, prizes, and had a great time hanging out together as we waited for 2021 to arrive. We played :
Reverse Charades - Three people work together to give clues and each guesser can only guess one time and then we quickly rotate.
Resolution Pictionary Pass - Everyone came up with a fictitious New Years Resolution. We wrote it on the top of a page and covered it up and pass to the next person. Each person had ten seconds to draw and pass around the table to the next person. The person sitting closest to the one who made the resolution had to guess what it was.
Ball drop - This was one of the silliest games. We put a tennis ball in a empty tissue box and cut slits on the end of the box for a belt to slide through. Then we put it on someone's back. It was funny to see how long it took to get the ball to drop!
Drop around the Clock - The kids had one minute to pick up small candies with a straw and place two on each hour around a "clock" (made out of upside-down dixie cups).
Drop a Hint - We read a clue and four of us work together only saying one word at a time to describe the item to the person guessing.
The List Game - A category is given (like candy bars) and we go in a circle and list as many as we can (one at a time), you have five seconds to list an item or you are out. Last man standing wins!
It was an amazing night with my favorite party people. We are all excited about what 2021 might have in store but I will forever be thankful for all the time my family got together in 2020.
