You "donut" know how much we love you.
Puns always make this wonderful man laugh.
Father's day was very rainy, gray and cool day. We enjoyed it by spending time together indoors. It was relaxed time just hanging out together watching movies. Dylan came up with the idea of making Nate some maple bacon glazed donuts. Dylan and I had a wonderful time cooking them together and we were thrilled with how well they turned out! They were so delicious! They were a hit with the dad that you deserve the very best.
Thank you Nate for making all of our gray days sunny by filling them with laughter. Thank you for showing your love for us by smiling in the midst of all the chaos life brings. You come home from a long day of work only to jump right in with a happy heart to enjoy kids activities, drive them to and fro, and participate in their life in every way possible. Whether we are headed to a kids event or spending time playing games at home and everything in between, in every way you are always present for our kids and I think that makes you the most outstanding father. I feel loved by you everyday by simply watching all that you do to take care of our family. We love you with all our heart Nate and are so incredibly thankful for the role you play in our lives. Always and forever.

Remove the doughnut holes from the oil and place on paper towel. After a few minutes move on to a the baking rack. Set the rack over some parchment before glazing.
For the glaze: Bring the maple syrup and the remaining half of the butter (1/4 cup) to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat. Then remove from the heat and whisk in the confectioners' sugar until smooth and slightly thick. Transfer the glaze to an easy to pour item.
