We decided to do our road trip to Illinois a little differently this year. Instead of trying to drive straight through the night and get to Illinois as fast as we could we decided to stop at many places along the way and took three days to arrive. It was such wonderful family time. We enjoyed every moment of swimming in the hotel pools, car conversations, eating very late night pizza on the hotel bed and just taking in the sights. It was so incredibly special to have some slowed down time with my family. We did so many special things that felt so extraordinary to us. I think it definitely taught me that when there is an option of taking the slower route you always should because there's so much more to be gained by the longer road then the short one.
Our Latest Stories
The things we remember are what we hold on to. And what we hold on to becomes the story of our lives.
