Getting Lost

No matter how well we plan things, sometimes life just doesn't go according to plans.  We took the kids on a hike, we checked the map, we followed the signs, and somehow we ended up lost in the middle of the woods.  The forest had recently been logged and markers for the trail were now missing and that landed us smack dab in the middle of nothing.  On the bright side, the middle of nothing is exactly where a Doe and baby dear was, the middle of nothing was exactly where the kids learned how to find your way when you are lost, the middle of nothing is where everyone encouraged each other that we would make it back and supported Aliya through a hurt ankle and the middle of nothing was exactly where we laughed at how far off we had gotten, even when we thought we were going the right way. Sometimes in life, you end up lost and in the middle of nothing but with the right people, it can still be exactly where you needed to be.
