Endings and Beginnings

If we knew the end would we start all over again, would we do  it all different,

Or would we never try at all.

When we see the end,

We see the mistakes, the errors, the flaws.

When we see the end we see the pain and heartache mixed in with the joy and celebration.

But if we knew the end would we do it all different,

Would we focus more on the updates of those we know then the updates on a screen,

Would we be more patient and mindful with our words and with our actions,

Would we try to give our best knowing that an ending could be right around the corner

Would we stop to count our blessings now before they are gone

Everyone experiences endings and beginnings over and over again like chapters in a book.

Everyone is surprised, shocked and awed by the plot twists that they never saw coming in life.

Everyone has been through more pages of  trials and successes then we will ever know.

Everyone longs for the happy endings that are not guaranteed.

Our stories are all a mixture of endings and beginnings, of joys and sorrows, of the unexpected and the planned.

Our stories are all so different while still binding us all and making us very much the same.

I just can't help but wonder if we knew the ending, in the beginning, how much we would try to change our story.
